The Best Furniture To Buy and Rent for Renters

Rent Bedroom Furniture

Although an increasingly popular option, you shouldn’t rent all of your furniture. Nor should you buy everything too. Instead, there should be a healthy mix of furniture that you bought and furniture that you rented.

Below, are furniture that you should rent and buy if you’re a renter.

Types of Furniture You Should Buy

Bed Frames and Mattresses

A lot of furniture you buy these days from furniture stores are either too light or not constructed properly. Sure, sturdier and more durable options exist, but they’re also more expensive. However, a bed frame is not something you should cheap out on, so they’re well worth the price.

If you want to save up on the costs of a quality bed frame, you can invest in high-quality second-hand pieces. They’re mostly available in vintage stores and garage sales.

Either way, when inspecting bed frames, always check the frame, the supports and insides, as well as the frame materials used.

As for the mattress itself, well, it’s pretty self-explanatory – you definitely don’t want to be sleeping on a second-hand mattress, nor a cheap one!

Types of Furniture You Should Rent

Sofas

Unlike mattresses, sofas are relatively easy to clean, but they are a pain to carry around when you’re moving to a new place.

As such, you might just want to rent a new sofa set if you’re moving to a new place. This way, you don’t have to worry about damaging your stuff during a move, nor having to sell it for a very low price. You might also want to throw in a centre table there too while you’re at it.

Cabinets

Like sofas, you don’t want to be lugging around cabinets when you move, and unless you invested in a high-quality cabinet that’s easy to take apart and put back together, it’s most likely going to take a lot of damage during the move.

Save yourself the trouble and just rent a cabinet.

Choose which is most ideal for you

Other than your bed frame and mattress, you should pretty much rent everything else.

Though at the end of the day, it is up to your own decision as it is your own home. However, it doesn’t mean that you should not rent bedroom furniture in Singapore. Dressers, cabinets, and other storage and decorative pieces are great for renting too. And, because of your lifestyle, buying is not a practical option because you’re either going to be forced to give them away or sell them for a low price anyway once you move out and go to a new place.

If the idea of renting isn’t attractive to you, or you don’t want to rent furniture all of the time, there are other options. For starters, you can start investing in high-quality furniture pieces that can easily be taken apart and put back together. This way, they last longer, are more durable and can be easily packed and rebuilt for moving. Other furniture pieces worth investing are those that can be reupholstered and are easy to clean.

Either way, the choice to rent or to buy is completely up to you. However, before coming up with a decision, make sure that you think things through first and arrive at the most economical choice.
